Hi! My name is Symone and I am a certified birth doula servicing the Brazos Valley area in Texas.

My birthing philosophy

My goal as a birth doula is to ensure bodily autonomy is prioritized in birthing experiences. I firmly believe birthing people have all the tools they need to have a great birth. Trusting their intuition and body is the key for my support as a doula. The needs of the birthing person should remain at the fore as I support them with navigating conversations among their healthcare providers and partners. I provide no judgement on birthing preferences and will support birthing people in the best ways I can. I affirm you have the agency to create your own unique experience, just trust yourself.

My love for being a doula is rooted in reproductive justice for Black women who experience higher maternal mortality rates than any other group in the United States. As a doula, it is my duty to fill in those gaps of care to make sure they are heard, understood and supported throughout their birthing experience.
